What are the practical access points to God's strategy?

How do you comprehend God's strategy for your business, family, ministry or finances?

On today's podcast, we're going to explore three rooms within strategy, and how these rooms unlock God's revelation on Earth.

You are going to come away from this adventure in God with an expanded sense of wonder, and a passion to see God's strategies revealed in your life and on the earth.

Welcome to God's strategy room.

As we move into the new epoch in Christianity, God is releasing Kingdom strategies and blueprints. Join us as we dive deep into God's strategy room to discover the wisdom of heaven for the transformation of cities. I'm your host, Angela Meer. I am the apostolic lead for firehouse, a center for city wide transformation in Southern Oregon. Let's jump into this week's episode.

What is the Purpose of Wonder?

Hi, and welcome to another episode today of God's strategy room. I'm so excited to bring you this one because what it's going to do is kind of unlock wonder and awe in your life.

You see, I asked the Lord one day I said, “Lord, what is the purpose of wonder? Why is it that understanding you as a God of wonder is so important?”

And He began to talk to me about wonder, and all the access points are coming into a greater revelation of holiness, and righteousness. You see, when we see God as a God of wonder and awe, we have a desire within ourselves to make sure that we are holy, just as He is holy. And this is why he uses wonder and awe in our lives to bring us into a place where we're willing to get rid of sin, and anything that's so easily capable of entangling us.

So today, what I want to do is take you on an adventure.

This is the Way God Talks to Me

I am a seer; I see things in the spiritual realm. We see seers throughout Scripture. This is a very biblical thing. And it's very mystical thing for some people. But the Bible is a mystical book. And it's something we need to grapple with. And something we need to understand, that if we are trying to enter into the God of the Bible, without entering into mystery, we are missing out on a big aspect of who God is.

And so I want to talk to you today about some of my seer experiences, and how some of those seer experiences have helped me align myself with what the new thing is that God is doing on the earth.

You see, I talk a lot about this new epoch or this new era that we are in. A lot of this revelation has come because God has shown me things in the heavenlies that's caused me to have blueprints, and understanding of how to build here on the earth.

Oftentimes, people will say, '“Well, I don't know what the will of God is for my life,”or “I don't know how to get,” “I need wisdom for this aspect of my life or this other area of my life.” And I think the best thing to do is to recognize that God works in ways that are well beyond our comprehension, well beyond the practical things that we typically run to instead of Him.

What I'm going to be sharing with you today is designed by God to increase wonder in your life so that you feel that the possibilities of God are more endless, and that he's breaking the glass ceiling of your own belief systems.

In My Father’s House…

So let's talk first and foremost about a little verse in the Bible that says, “In My Father's house, there are many mansions.”

We all know about this verse, it's kind of steeped into our understanding of the heavenlies.

But there's another translation of this verse that I think is really fascinating.

And the translation of the verse is “In my Father's house, there are many rooms.” Now I find that really fascinating because I myself and many other seers that I know have seen into the heavenlies, and have understood things in the heavenlies by this concept of rooms, and God has taken them into various rooms to help them understand the concepts of the kingdom of heaven.

You see, Jesus preached on the kingdom of heaven more than anything else that he preached on.

Some people think that it's the gospel, some people think it's about how to love but really, the thing that Jesus teaches on the most is the kingdom of heaven. And believe it or not, I think it's the thing that is least taught on in Christianity.

And so what I'd like to do is take you into the kingdom of heaven, I'd like to take you into an experience that I had, that will hopefully increase your wonder, increase your desire to live a righteous and holy life, and increase your desire to access the wisdom of God and the strategies of God for the things that you're experiencing in your own life.

Welcome to 100 Days of Wonder

So let's get started. So I had this experience a few days ago. I've been in a season where the Lord's calling it “100 days of wonder",” and he introduced it to me on September 1st. I woke up a spending time with him. And he said, “Welcome to 100 days of wonder.”

And on day one, the Lord took me into the room a strategy, if you've not already heard my podcast on the room of strategy, I welcome you to go back and listen to it. In that podcast, I explained to you why the room of strategy is attached to the room of intimacy. See, I go as a seer into the things of heaven, through the room of intimacy. It's my access point, through my relationship with Jesus.

And so this is is true about this as well, I often access things through my intimacy with the Lord. And so this strategy room is an access point through the room of intimacy.

Anyways, in the room of strategy, I've seen many things. But what often happens to me is that I don't see everything.

It's just like any any other experience that you might have on Earth, when you're driving down the road, you're concentrating on the road, you're maybe not looking at what's happening on the left or the right, you may not know what's going on behind you, or what's going on in various cars around you. And I find that when I go into the heavenlies, the Lord keeps me very focused on the thing he wants me to see for that moment in time.

The Three Doors

And so I went into the room of strategy this time, and I saw something new, something I had never seen before. And it was three doors that were attached to the room of strategy. These three doors, I knew were access points of strategy, I knew because they came from the room of strategy, they had their origin point here in the room of strategy.

And so I knew that these three rooms were going to be integral to my understanding of how strategy works on the earth.

And so I walked up to the first door, and the first all three doors, by the way, were very humble doors. A lot of times I see really majestic doors, or really ornate doors. But these doors were very, very humble. And I think that has something to say to us.

White Door Broken Down Hand Rail Old.jpg

Oftentimes when the Lord shows us pictures, just like you see with the prophets and the seers in the Bible, the pictures themselves weren't expressing a reality on the earth, but a spiritual reality.

You see, when Jesus was talking to Nicodemas, in John chapter three, he says, “I speak to you about spiritual things,” and He was talking about a man being reborn. And Nicodemus said, “Can a man,” you know, “crawl up in his mother again and be born again?” And Jesus said to him, “Are you not a teacher? Do you not understand that I'm speaking to you about spiritual things.”

And so basically, what Jesus was saying is we need to understand when He gives us pictures, or he gives us visions, or we enter into seer type experiences, these pictures often are depicting something of a spiritual nature of the kingdom of God.

What are the Doors Saying?

And so when I'm looking at this door, and it's a very humble looking door, in fact, it kind of reminded me of the door that I had on my bedroom when I was a child. We lived in a mobile home, and so we had these really thin doors, that were really kind of flimsy. And I thought, well, this is very interesting that these doors are so humble.

But the reality is, it's not very interesting. If we want to gather God's strategy about things that we need to be doing on the earth, or the things that he's calling us to do on the earth, we need to recognize that all three of these doors of strategy, these access points of strategy that I'm about to share with you, are accessed first and foremost through our own humility.

If we do not want the Lord to be the Lord of our life, these are not things that are accessible, accessible for us.

Arrogance cannot walk through doors of humility.

And so I thought that was a really important key to what I was getting in this experience. So this first door, this first humble door that I was standing in front of had a label on it, and I saw the label and the label was teaching. And I thought, well, that's a very odd thing to come out as a room of strategy. But like most seer experiences that I have, I might think to myself, “Well, that's odd.” But as the Lord reveals things to me, as I go throughout the experience, more and more information comes from like, “Oh, that makes perfect sense.”

Through the Doorway

So bear with me as I teach you on this. So as I walked through the door called teaching, I realized that it was like… Do you guys remember the original Charlie and the Chocolate Factory movie that was done with…Why can't remember the… Gene Wilder! I think, was the actor who played Willy Wonka. And, you know, when they first went through the door going into the Chocolate Factory, there was this very small narrow hallway that just got smaller and smaller. And they literally had to crawl through this door into this major, awesome Chocolate Factory, right.

And this was similar to what I was experiencing. It was like, when I went through the door, it felt really narrow, it felt really confining. But when I came out on the other side, it was this giant ecosystem. It was like I was looking at an expansive place where there was all types of ecosystems, I saw deserts and rain forests, and jungles and wildernesses and mountain tops, all these different ecosystems that I was seeing. And it was all accessed through the door called teaching.

You see, the reason why the door of teaching is very narrow., but when you open it up into this wide, expansive place, what happens is that you have to understand, teaching and being taught requires humility.

If we receive the teaching of people, it requires humility. If we say I acknowledge this person as a teacher in my life, it requires humility. And it said, my teaching that somebody else has, so that I can be expanded on the inside of me. And that's exactly what happened. When I walked through the door, it was a narrow place, I acknowledged my humility of needing to go through this narrow place.

But when I came out to the other side, it was this massive, expansive area, that was expanding something in me.

Strategy Can Be Taught

As I looked around at this various ecosystems, I saw all different types of diverse ways of life. I saw stone age people, and I saw a mother with her child, and she was teaching her child in a cave, how to clean a fish. And then I saw other things, I saw a wide variety of ways that, like, even how squirrels teach their young how to do certain things, through mimicking, through imitation, they teach them through, “This is how I do it, now you do it.”

And similarly, I saw all these various things that were happening in these ecosystems. And when the Lord, what the Lord did is he opened my eyes and he lifted all of those ecosystems up so that I could see all throughout the area. There were a wide variety of ways that teaching was occurring.

And this is really interesting, because we don't necessarily think of strategy as something that is, something that is taught.

But what I realized through this is that strategy is something that can be taught, it’s something that we can learn through the Lord and through the various people that he brings into our lives, podcasts like this, or speakers that you may listen to, or books that you read.

All of these are different ways that God teaches his body, teaches the ekklesia, how to grow in the realms of strategy and the things that he's wanting to do on the earth.

So after I was seeing all these different ways, I was just marveling about how important teaching is in understanding strategy.

You think the fact that this doorway, the doorway of teaching was accessed through strategy tells us something, it tells us something about the geography of the kingdom of heaven, that the kingdom of heaven is saying that if you want to access strategy, there are three different doorways and we're going to talk about all three of these in the next podcast.

It’s Personal

But this first doorway is called teaching, and it's probably one of the most practical, easy ways to access the strategy of heaven. Okay. So anyways, as I was doing that, the Lord began to talk to me about my own personal call, to strategy, my own personal call to help the body of Christ to come into the wonder of God, and to understand the strategy of heaven.

And so he said, I have a personal way by which I teach you and by which you teach others. He said, Would you like to see it? And I said, “Absolutely.” And that's the cool thing about the kingdom of heaven, you guys. It's very personalized to who we are as individuals.

Girl Cornrows Black Swing Smile Sunshine.jpg

And so oftentimes we'll see a wide expansive room like this, but there's a particular way that God is interested in showing us how we operate in the earth. It's because he's a personal Savior. He is also corporate, right? He saves the whole world.

But he's so interested in us as personal individuals, he loves us as who we are uniquely called and designed to be.

So anyways, Jesus said, I would love to show you how you teach and how you display strategy on the earth through teaching. And he began to do something that blew me away, instead of taking me to a various ecosystem, or to see a different, you know, how someone was teaching over here, how teaching was happening in other ways, he began to dig in the earth.

The Room of Curiosities

And it was this beautiful, rich, dark earth. And as he began to dig in the earth, we started a tunnel underneath, underneath all of this ecosystems that we were seeing. And we went down, down, down, and we arrived at a tiny door that entered into the hole that looked very similar to the hole that Alice fell into when Alice was in Wonderland.

Black White Checkered Floor Brick Walls.jpg

And it was the black and white checkered floor, the hardwood walls. And I saw all along the walls that there was an old, those of you who are as old as I am would know, these cards systems that we used to use in libraries, called the Dewey Decimal System, and we had these card files that would pull out and these card files were lining the entire stretch of this room.

The room was circular. And these card files, I saw them all the way along the entire stretch of the wall. And I thought, well, this is very fascinating.

And the Lord spoke to me and he said, “This is called the room of curiosities.”

Now, this is so fascinating, you guys, but let me let me explain to you why the Lord said that my teaching strategy is coming out of the room of curiosities. The reason why is because I am a curious person, I've been curious by nature, from the moment I was born, I've always been curious, I have a very broad love and desire for, wonder for, the curiosities of God. And because of that, I asked a lot of questions.

In fact, if you were inside my head for about 24 hours, you would see that there's a constant dialogue between me and the Lord with questions. I'm constantly asking him questions. You guys, this is a type of teaching, and it is a type of strategy. And I'm letting you into this little moment with me, because I think it's so important that we become people of curiosity. I always say, “Have enough faith in God to be curious.”

Why is Curiosity Important?

We often want to shut down curiosity, because we think it is like a place of unbelief in us or a place that a child may go, but maybe an adult won't. But how do we access the kingdom of heaven? We become like children is what Jesus said, and children are extremely curious.

And I am extremely curious about the kingdom of heaven.

I'm constantly asking Jesus about the kingdom of heaven, and how it operates. And so what I want you to do is become people who are curious, become people who have faith enough in God to be curious about the kingdom of heaven.

And so oftentimes, what I will do to access strategy is I will ask questions, and this is something that anybody could do, you don't have to be a seer to do this. You just need to become humble and like a child and being willing to be taught by the Lord, and ask questions that would cause there to be a dialogue between you and the Lord.

This is an important and crucial step of strategy on the earth. So if you have problems with your finances, with your kids with your, maybe you're dealing with marital issues, the Lord has strategies for you. He has strategies to see you come into a place of wonder about how he's able to be God in the midst of your circumstances.

But it requires that we're curious, it requires that we ask questions.

Stained with Tea

Okay, so let's go back into the vision. So along the circular wall, I'm looking at these different files, and the Lord began to pull out the first file and it was so long, you guys it was probably 18 feet long. He just kept pulling and pulling and pulling, like a magician pulling the scarf out of a hat. And as he's pulling and pulling and pulling, he reached for a card that was in the center of this card file. And when he pulled it out, it was stained with tea.

How many of you have seen things that have been stained with tea? It just kind of has this beige color to it? And I was laughing at this because there seemed to be like this thing going on. Here I am in a room that looks like Alice in Wonderland and now he's holding up a car that's stained with tea because of the Mad Hatter's Tea Party of course. And so I'm laughing because this is, of course, one of my favorite books, I just love it.

And of course, the Lord is utilizing these symbols and these images, to continue to stir my curiosity. And to continue to stir my sense of wonder.

You guys, it's okay to, to have these moments with the Lord that are just so full of joy like that when he really accesses the aspects of who we really are. And he begins to show us things that are just really fun and loving, and really personal to us. So anyways, that was all that I was able to do on that particular first day of wonder, I went into that same room the very next day.

Territory in the Spirit

And the reason I'm bringing this up is because oftentimes, we may get distracted, if we're spending time with the Lord or He’s showing us something. And you guys need to understand that when the Lord is showing you something, he's actually giving you territory in the spirit.

And when he's giving you territory in the spirit, he's literally saying,

“This is yours, you own it.”

So now you can always access that place in him, always evermore. And so for me, I love when he expands my territory in the spirit, because I get to access so much more of who he is. You see, I've shown you this before with the podcast that I told you about called God's strategy room. And that's where I explain the whole concept behind this podcast. And that is that the strategy room, once the Lord showed it to me, I could access it over and over and over again.

Faith is Greater than Sight

Now, you don't have to be shown it. If you're not a seer, or maybe you don't operate that way in the prophetic, or maybe you're just being introduced to these things. And you don't have to be a seer to access them. You can access them by faith.

And oftentimes I have to access them by faith, I don't always just enter into seer type of experiences.

A lot of times I go through, in fact, I've just come out of a very, very long season where I didn't access any seer experiences at all. It was years, you guys. And so you need to understand that sometimes you will, even if you are a seer, you will be accessing things by faith, you'll be accessing things just like the patriarch did in Hebrews chapter 11, you’re accessing things because faith is actually more important than the gift of being a seer.

Faith is something that always remains.

But the gift of seer it's going to, it's going to drift away is what 1st Corinthians 13 says you may have all these different gifts. but if you don't have love, if you don't have faith, if you don't have hope, it doesn't mean anything. Because these three things remain, it says in First Corinthians 13.

So sometimes the Lord is using your seer gifting, or he's using the prophetic gifting, or he's using the gift of tongues, or all the various things that we see in First Corinthians, of the different gifts that God will operate through us with.

But sometimes he just wants us to learn to grow in faith.

And so these things can be accessed by faith for you as much as they can be accessed by faith by me.

The Practical & the Spiritual are Tied Together

So anyways, the very next day, because I had to pull out of that experience, there was something going on, I pulled out of that experience. But I knew that the very next day, the Lord had said to me, I'm giving you 100 days of wonder. So I was moving into day two. And the first thing that happened is that I entered right back into the place that I was in the day before.

I'm telling this to you, because some of you might be moms, or busy, or you got a lot of work or different things that you got going on in your life. And I'm letting you know that there's grace, you don't have to just be totally in the heavenlies all the time or totally engaged in the spirit, there is so much grace because the Lord is wanting His body to both build in the natural and build in the spirit.

And so we need to marry these two things together. It says in in, I believe it’s in John chapter four. Jesus said to the woman at the well, he said, I'm looking, the Father God is looking for those who worship in spirit and in truth.

In other words, he's looking for those who don't just read the Bible, but they let the Holy Spirit inspire them to know how to deal with the Bible that they're reading, that the Holy Spirit guides them in the instruction of the truth. And so you're looking for those who are married in both.

So I'm just saying this because I want to encourage you that sometimes the Lord is going to ask you to be practical, and you need to pull out in those moments and maybe come back to a spiritual moment later. So anyways, okay, so let's go back into this.

Introducing: George Washington Carver

This was day two. And remember the Lord had just shown me a card from a card file that had been stained with tea. And He says to me, “What is tea used for?” And I said, “Well, Lord, I believe it's used for drinking purposes for enjoyment. And I think that there's some medicinal uses for tea. And I said, I've also seen tea used to stain paper items like, I know my mom is really into, like, crafts and art and that kind of thing, and she has used tea before to stain paper a certain color. And he said, “That's right.” He said, “These are some of the uses of tea.” But he said to me,

“It's time that someone does with tea what George Washington Carver did with the peanut.”

George Washington Carver Mustache B&W Inventor.jpg

Wow, that was just like a breakthrough for me. Let me tell you real quickly about George Washington Carver.

This was a gentleman that was in that born in the 1800s. And he was a freed slave who ended up going to university for botany. And when he went to the University for botany, when he got done with his studies, he began to ask the Lord a really simple question.

Now remember, we're in the room of curiosity. So it's interesting to me that the Lord accessed George Washington Carver's questions in the room of curiosity. And what George Washington Carver asked the Lord is, he said, “Lord, what can you do with the peanut?”

And that engaged George Washington Carver on this awesome journey with the Lord with just one product. A peanut.

A Citizen of the Kingdom of Heaven

You see, George Washington Carver had studied and had trained as a botanist, but what he was more than that was a kingdom citizen of the kingdom of heaven.

And George Washington Carver spent hours with the Lord before he would start his work, he would spend time praising and worshiping God and accessing the kingdom of heaven.

And what he would do is out of that access point, is he begin to innovate, with the peanut. George Washington Carver actually explored and identified and invented 300 products with the peanut. The reason we have peanut butter, the reason we have peanut oil, all these various things, and there's a whole bunch of other things that he came up with, is because of George Washington Carver. George Washington Carver had hit upon something.

Teaching, Curiosity, & Strategy are Connected

Now remember, bear with me here. Remember, we're in the room of strategy, which had a doorway to teaching. And now we're tumbling down into the room of curiosities. So it's all strategy of heaven.

But it's a certain type of strategy. And it's the certain type of strategy is called teaching. And the Lord wants to teach his people how to access strategy. He wants to teach you and he wants to teach me and in the room of curiosities, it's a place where we need to access strategy of God through curiosity and through asking questions.

What the Lord is saying here is that this is one way to increase your wonder and to increase your innovation.

You see,

Innovation is the practical byproduct of having an understanding of the strategies of heaven.

Innovation may occur in the realm of helping your neighbor in society, it may help, innovation might help with a product, it might be a new way of doing a certain type of art.

And it may even be something as simple as George Washington Carver asking the Lord, “What can the peanut do?” If you're interested in innovation, this is something you might want to consider. The Lord said, It's time that someone does with tea what George Washington Carver did with the peanut.

Allow Yourself to Be Curious

I believe that the Lord's wanting to have somebody who is so curious about what God can do with tea, that there's perhaps medicinal breakthroughs, perhaps there's a whole bunch of different types of breakthroughs and innovation that God can use through tea.

So if that's you, I say run with it. This is something that can cause you to flow in innovative anointing.

See, this is something that's so important to us is that we need to be in a place of curiosity. We need to be in a place of questions, and all of it is accessed through humility, in this room called teaching, right? And so as we're learning from the Lord, as we're learning from others, as we're learning and growing by reading books, or listening to podcasts like this, the Lord is saying, “I'm increasing your capacity for strategy.” And He's increasing your capacity to even have things like tea bags, become a place of wonder in your life.

This is so important and you know, I'm going to take you into the other two doors of the room of strategy that I talked about. So there were three doors. This is the first door called teaching, and tomorrow, or whenever you read, listen to the next podcast, there is going to be two more doors that I'm going to talk about, about how we access strategy.

I hope this has been really helpful to you because it really should increase your wonder and increase your ability to access the strategy of heaven to access the things of God that He has for you. And I had a really good time chatting with you today. See you later and thank you for listening to God’s strategy room.

What has God used recently to stir up wonder inside of you and what are you going to do about it? We’d love to hear from you!
